Abstract
This study investigates the health consequences of household-level strategies for managing water insecurity in communities in Ghana. Drawing on field research, we document how coping mechanisms — including water storage practices, alternative sourcing, and rationing — create secondary health risks that compound existing vulnerabilities for households navigating water scarcity.
